This stop bath can be used after using standard developers either for prints or films

Water 1 l (to make 1 l)

 

With line films or papers as they use very alkaline developpers :

Water 1 l (to make 1 l)

28 % acetic acid can be done by diluting 3 parts of glacial acetic acid with 8 parts of water :

 

28 % ACETIC ACID

Rapid fixing / hardening bath

Water 50 °C (125 F) 600 ml
Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrated 360 g
Ammonium Chloride 50 g
Sodium sulfite Anhydrous 15 g
28 % acetic acid 48 ml
Boric acid crystals 7.5 g
Potassium alum (Dodecahydrated) 15 g
Cold water to make 1 l
     

Potassium alum as an hardening effect

Ammonium chloride gives the speed effect, don't forget your films in that kind of fixing bath, it could bleach them;

 

Fixing (non hardening) bath

Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrated 240 g
Sodium sulfite (Anhydrous) 10 g
Sodium bisulfite (Anhydrous) 25 g
Cold water to make 1 l
